1725 Old Highway 2, Belleville, ON
In 1916, Robert J. Graham, a prominent businessman and Belleville's former mayor, finished building Montrose Inn, his summer home. It remained in the family until the early 1980’s. This excellent example of antebellum architecture was designed by Toronto architect Eustice Bird and took two years to complete. The inn has had new owners and décor since May 2015.–
The Inn, with its many original features, grand crown mouldings, solid oak paneling, grand staircase, fixtures, and workings has been updated with modern amenities and decor that celebrates the era while being fresh and inviting.
